Encounter with the Milky Way

Take a magical journey through time and space and experience spectacular images of space, the solar system and the enchanting Milky Way that unfolds over Denmark's picturesque landscapes.

Astrophotographer and lecturer Jakob Arthur Andersen has a window to infinity with his telescope and camera, a visual time machine far out into infinite space.

Jakob is internationally recognized and award-winning, and for countless hours he has taken pictures of the night sky using telescopes and his camera to show our amazing universe, solar system and the landscapes of the night.
Jakob's lectures are so that everyone can join in, with humor, knowledge and images that make people say WOW! – It is an adventure journey - It is about the pictures he takes and the experiences he has had at night - where some of the wildest are threats of being shot, to the downright bizarre like meeting naked men in the middle of a desert - Jakob takes the audience from the earth, out to the Milky Way and far, far out into the universe, before we return to earth. All with pictures he has taken all over Denmark, his own backyard - and distant skies.

It is a story about the enormous and unimaginable distances and sizes our universe offers us, and the big questions about the universe we are all a part of.

Additionally you will meet, Als Rocketry Club (ARC), whose vision is to ignite and promote an interest in rocket science and engineering for students.
